BLOOMINGTON – Attorneys asked for more time in the Misook Wang case Monday to exchange evidence.
Wang, 46 from Bloomington, is accused of killing her mother-in-law Wenlan Tyda last year. But, the family of Barton McNeil is hoping to use this new murder case as fuel to get a possible retrial in his murder conviction.
McNeil was convicted of murdering his three-year-old daughter Christina McNeil 13 years ago. Family member Chuck Nicholson said McNeil has always maintained his innocence and claimed Wang was the real murdered. He said they are talking to Bloomington Police about the old case in light of Wang’s recent murder charges.
